We are gonna change things up a bit...!
June 1st at Zaxby's @ 6:00pm we will have our next Men's Bible Study and we have been looking into the simple Joy of God's Word and the many wonderful things it has for us! Now on June 1st, we will start digging into the Book of James!
James is one of the most popular books of the New Testament. And for good reason, James is an intensely practical book, filled with exhortations about the way to live our lives, it is filled with allusions to the teachings of Jesus, and it is chock full of dos and don'ts; and in a rather sadistic way we like that.
But dos and don'ts are not the point. The point is Staying Power and Encouragement!
Unlike many of the other books of the New Testament, James’s aim is not to give a theological patterns or guidance, or even a presentation of the gospel. Rather, he writes his book to those who already believe, and his goal is to help them live faithfully as followers of Jesus.
So let's do this thing on June 1st, Zaxby's @ 6:00pm... They have that really cool sauce too.
